The Skinner - Robertson Trophies will be played for in mixed competition.
A.
Mixed rinks must contain 2 men and 2
women curlers, unless there is a shortage of women curlers.
B.
Male and Female players must play
alternately in mixed curling.
C.
On a 3 man, 1 woman rink, the woman
must play third.
D.
In the event that there is an
insufficient number of curlers, three person teams may be formed, including at
least one woman, who must play third.
2 All matches
shall be eight ends.
A.
Winner records 2 points on score,
loser 0. Tie games, each rink records 1 pt.
3 All matches MUST
start at their scheduled times or as soon as the ice is ready.
A.
If one rink is late, it must forfeit
1 pt and 1 end for every 15 mins. late. If more than 45 mins. late, the rink
must forfeit the match. A score of 2 to 0 should be recorded.
B.
If both are late, I end will be
dropped for each 15 mins. late (except when there is no match following, and
the skips are in agreement.) If neither rink can field a team after 45 mins
both rinks must forfeit and each rink must record the match as a loss.
C.
If a rink shows up with 2 regular
members and takes a curler from another rink, that rink will still take a
forfeit for not fielding a rink.
D.
No end shall start with less than 10
mins. before the next match is to be played.
4 Skips are
encouraged to field complete rinks for all matches. However, 3 player rinks will
be permitted. On 3 player rinks the first two players throw 3 stones each.
5 Substitutes.
A.
One or two substitutes may be used
per rink. However, each rink must play with at least two members of the
regular rink.
B.
There must always be at least one
man and one woman on a team and there shall always be a man and a woman in the
skip and vice skip positions.
C.
First year curlers are not required
to move up in the order of delivery when a substitute is added to the rink.
6 No matches may
be postponed except for those due to bad weather or lack of curling ice.
A.
Any team that cancels a game takes
the loss.
B.
Any game that cannot be played on
the scheduled date MUST BE PLAYED PRIOR TO THAT DATE.
7 Winners of each
round will be the rinks with the most wins‑ties points.
A.
A tie for first place for any round
will be played off in an 8 end match as arranged by the Schedule Committee or
by mutual agreement of the Skips.
B.
The winner of each round will play
an 8 end match as arranged by the schedule Committee or by mutual agreement of
the Skips.
